eThekwini is an area rich in talent where the spirit of ubuntu is alive and well! Living Legends 2014, seeks to honour those residents of eThekwini who have made an extraordinary contribution to our society, helping to make eThekwini the incredible place that it is. Previous recipients of the award include Ladysmith Black Mambazo’s, Joseph Shabalala; former leader of the South African Domestic Workers’ Association, Mary Mkhwanazi; and Jackie Branfield, founder of Operation Bobbi Bear.

This year the Living Legends awards ceremony takes place on Friday the 5th September at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre (ICC). Watch this space to see who our Living Legends are for 2014!
